Examples of PII include information that can be used to identify you such as name, address, email, social security numbers, and financial account data. Examples of PHI include sensitive health information, diagnoses, etc. Please note that sending PII and PHI through most email platforms is NOT considered a secure delivery channel for sensitive data. Email traffic is highly susceptible to interception by third parties who could then use the account information, both yours and the recipient’s, to perpetrate fraudulent activity.
